August 19th – Finch’s- BARREL AGED BEER DINNER

Welcome Beer- Threadless IPA-Pours a hazy amber. Aroma is apricot, citrus, floral hops, a bit of pine & caramel malt. Flavor is citrus, apricot, resinous hops, caramel malt sweetness, that finishes with good bitterness & mild alcohol. 6% ABV;

First- Bacon Whiskey Chicken Kabob paired with Sobek in the Wood- Black IPA aged in a whiskey barrel. This beer is dark with mahogany/burgundy highlights achieved by using generous amounts of Briess Midnight Wheat, as well as earthy and citrus hops. It comes in at 8% ABV with 80 IBU’s, and is named after the Egyptian gods representing a boar and a crocodile.

Second- Curried Ginger Peach Salad- Mixed Greens topped with Curry Marinated Peaches & Cucumbers & Almonds and topped with a Sesame Ginger, Honey, Garlic dressing and paired with a Hardcore Chimera firkin directly from the Brewery

Main Steak Gorgonzola-Grilled Tenderloin, sliced & served with with tomato cream Gorgonzola sauce over a bed of linguini paired with Pig in the Woods-Fascist Pig Bourbon Barrel aged in Koval barrels American Strong Ale pours a hazy caramel color. Aroma has earthy/piney notes & sweet maltiness.  Flavor is caramely sweet with pine notes. Medium mouthfeel, piney finish.8% ABV

Finale- Flourless Chocolate Cake in a Grasshopper Cloud paired with Stache in the Woods- Secret Stache Stout – Stout
aged in Willet barrels for 6 months. Pours a rich coffee brown with a very thick, fine-bubbled, almost mousse-like
head that leaves some good lacing. Roast malt aroma has subtle notes of quality coffee, bourbon and caramel. Toasty flavor has a bourbon overtone, as well as notes of roast coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Finishes roasty bitter with a nice sweetness.

Smoked Cheddar & Bacon Quesadilla paired with Ambidextrous Step 6 Smoked Dopple Weizenbock 7.5% ABV

Roasted Pear and Curly Leaf Lettuce salad topped with a Champagne Gorgonzola Pear dressing
and paired with  St. Vrain Tripel 9.3% ABV

Lightly floured and Pan sautéed Boneless Chicken dredged in a Frangelico cream sauce and served over Angel Hair Pasta
paired with Widdershin English-style Barleywine 8.8% ABV

Deconstructed Waffle Cone topped with “Bit o’ Honey” Ice cream and Chopped Nuts
paired with Beer Week Sauce- American Style Coffee Porter  6% ABV

December 9th (Note Special Week!)- Festival of Christmas Brews.

Our Beer Dinners are open seating from 5 to 8 pm and feature the very best in craft beers paired with a chef inspired menu created just for the event. The Food & Beer are available in limited quantity, so reservations are strongly suggested to assure availability.  Most Beer Dinners for 2014 are priced at $40.
A designated driver dinner option is also available at a reduced price.
